Do you remember the first view out of my hotel window when I arrived 4 weeks ago?
That’s the version of my last sunday …You can hardly notice the yachtes wich are normaly very closed and right in front! So no beach or pool day – we had to spent the last dollars in the shopping mall!

Rainy, sad sunday morning!
And then I went straight to MIA airport to catch a cosy window seat for this overnight flight!
Waiting, waiting, waiting for this delayed Air Berlin machine ….

Waiting for departure!

Boarding still in progress!

Jepp got it - so time to fall asleep!
Puh, got all the stuff safe through the customs – but now have to tidy up and get ready for the next trip

Bunch of US souvenirs for family, friends and myself!

….after a quick beauty and styling session the farewell programm went on!
We went to Miami’s Design Destrict, an upcoming area with many galleries, interior design and art shops!
Not yet realy fancy and well known but wiht high potential…..it looks much more pretty at night!
Here you can find such crazy and special installations:

"The Living Room" at 40th Street

Good question: Would you love to live here?? I don't know..
But we were not looking for any propertie here – we just wanted to enjoy the “I love Miami Spice” Menue at the Grass Lounge! One of the best places in town, with an amazing only outside atmosphere and a realy cool floral interior …

The Grass Restaurant's outside online!

The very styly Grass Lounge

Where is the grass green?? At the restrooms

Some hands as decoration...
And we realy loved the Grass’s version of it’s Miami Spice menue
It was not so easy to decide but at the end everything was sooooo delicious – yammi…

Starter: Yellowfin Tuna Tataki
OR

Thai Chilli Shrimp Salad

Entrée: Tilapia
OR

Marsala-soy skirt steak
As desert:

Key Lime Calypso
OR

Chocolate volcano with icecream
That was the best dinner I had within this 4 weeks in Miami – and for sure I had the chance to see lots of different restaurants and places! But our farewell programm did not end here…
Then we went to a fashionshow wich took place in one of these brand new skyscrapers also near this Design District and was kind of promotion for new investors or neighbors! So we went on the 7th floor to a beautyfull pool area and got lots of strong sponsored welcome drinks before the show! The Catwalk was right in the pool – a realy cool scenery and great fashion – especially the bikini collection of Kristina Ashley!

Pool Catwalk on the 7th Floor

So cute bikinis - every was worth to buy!

It was toooo hot - we had to cool down!

The other fashionistas!
And last but not least the “Harter Kern” went on clubbing in Brikell at a brazilien party! Olé olé olé!

The "harte Kern" of brazilian dancers!

Cheeeessssseeee!

Almost out of control

Starting the weekend like this....

Crazy clouds passing by - it's raining over there far far away!

Thunderstorms are coming closer!

Posing at North Beach - real Mustang girls!
Unfortunately it started also to rain and we had to leave – but not before our quick & dirty fotoshoot with this fancy Ford Mustang! That provocates a crazy chorus of horns….. tstststst, american boys!!

Holá todos,
unfortunaely today is my last day here in the Miami office – time flies by here so quickly, it feels like I just arrived yesterday! So I have to grab all the new and interesting media insights and tricky bridgetrack skills together and bring it back – with all the other more or less material stuff I also bought here – to Germany!
There is definitly a lot to import from this very exciting, crazy and interesting 4 week exchange trip!!!
I would like to thank everybody you was more or less involved in making this great experience happen and letting me smell this american spirit of Sapient Interactive and Media in specific.
A very big big thank you to the whole media team here in Miami who gave me a very warm welcome, this bunch of online media input, trainings and sessions who let me participate in meetings and nice vendor events and gave me the important local recomendations to explore Miami’s beach-, night- and shopping-life!! Thank you soooooo much
It was awseome beeing part of the Miami media team!!!
Here are some pictures from the last days – luckily there will follow some more due to there are a few hopefully sunny days left!! I will have a tough schedule for the realy last weekend here

An amazing Hotel with a cosy outside bar and pool area – to be honest we expected a fancy place somewhere close to the sky on the xyz floor with a perfect view but at the end it was on the ground floor! But we enjoied it anyway! Had a tasty dinner at Nobu - a great japanese restaurant!

Cruising fancy and crowded Ocean Drive!

And walking back to pick up our car we passed this beautifull place – the Setai Hotel and Restaurant! It’s sooooo amazing …..Spending a night there you just need at least 1000 bucks….so let’s go there next time
That’s hard to top, but we will see what’s coming next at this last weekend here in the sunshine state – acutally it’s raining ;-(

Yesterday we just relaxed and hang around at the southest point of Key Biscayne. With its lighthouse and sandy dunes this beach is more or less similar to this special northsee atmosphäre. We were looking for lguanas which should be located there but could not find any! Luckily I had not to drive and could make more pictures during our ride – we took Miras super fast and fancy canary yellow Ford Mustang, awesome….

Paparazzi on the way...

Holá chicas y chicos!
now I got great support of beach-, shopping- and clubbing-affine Sapies here in Miami! Mira, Thomas and Graham arrived last week too so we are a big Sapient crew here exploring day- and even nightlife wiht the Miami locals here
It was realy fun….
Saturday first we went to a big big warehouse sale in the convention center and made some great deals! Bought fancy jeans and beach stuff for only a few bucks. After this stressfull shopping marathon we had to get fresh energy at Sushi Samba to be ready for the crazy and crowded South Beach!

Kiran & Jessica screening these bunch of jeans!!

Lunch at Sushi Samba

Me & Jess did also!
Just walking down Lincoln Road we arrived at the famous South Beach very closed to the Ritz Carlton Hotel and found some place to put our towels ….
It was realy crowded and the water was like taking a hot bath!

Hi wine lovers,
here in the US beeing part of “new world” – outside the traditional wine-growing areas of Europe like Argentina, Australia, Canada, Chile, New Zealand, South Africa and Mexican as well – I got the chance to refine my wine senses. Mira, Jessica, Kiran and I joined this exclusive wine tasting seminar by sommelier Cynthia Betancourt at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Downtown. It was so funny sitting and watching all these wine loving american women who were looking for professional tips and tricks for their own “home wine parties” which will for sure come very soon!!
It was an amazing experience drinking a Sauvignon Blanc out of a wrong glass the Burgundy one- a totaly different smell and taste, awefull! So take care about your glassware next time – it makes such a big difference! And one more learning from last night’s wine session: using a plastic cup every wine tastes realy bad no matter if it’s an expensive Chardonay or cheap Pinot Grigio!! Keep this in mind for your next picnic

Mira, Kiran & Jessica

Some appetizer to keep the taste sense pure!

Hi there,
had a crazy appointment at RikRak yesterday evening with Massimo – an awesome italian hairstylist for sure – to get this fancy and cool miami hairstyle
Was first a little bit scared because of my poor hairstyling specific vocabulary – is it just a trim or a real hair cut?? no idea – but finaly we decided that it is something in between! So I drove to Downtown Miami passing lots of skyscrapers where the finance guys are making the big big $ and € transactions and the waterfront too!

Downtown Miami - Brickell Avenue

And now I would like to present you my new and fancy hairstyling:

Holá que tal? Hope you had a great and sunny weekend as I had.
Yesterday I explored the North Beach area a little bit more: first took a sunbath at Surfside Beach – I dont’t know why it is called so, there was no surfer at all – then stayed a little bit more south at North Shore Beach. So I could tick off two more beaches from the long long list of the offical greater miami beach guide!
But due to there was no shady palm at all I got too much of the miami sunshine.

Surfside Beach looking North

Baywatch at North Shore Beach

Getting almost sunburnt
And after the relaxing afternoon on the beach I had to do my chores, little household things.
You can meet a lot of funny people at a coin laundromat here in Coconut Grove!

Laundry at Coconut Grove

Waiting, waiting, waiting...
Luckily this was a very fast washing programm…
This sunday started with very heavy and rainy thunderstorm and I was wondering if the snorkling trip could be realised under this rough weather conditions at the Key Biscayne National Park.

Starting sunday like this....
But it pulled ahead and we could put out to the ocean more than an hour driving to the world’s third-larges reef! 95% of this National Park is underwater. It was awesome, snorkling very close to big barracudas, papageifishes and big swarms of other kind of colourful marina animals….

Welcome to Key Biscayne National Park
